April, My Favorite Month

April brings flowers, bugs, more sunshine, green grass, and more activities. Besides being born in April and being married in April, Easter is usually in April. But now, I have another reason to like April. I finally figured out how to advertise on Facebook! I'm still learning, but I'm learning things that are necessary to advertise. I'm doing it piecemeal, that is in sections. I'm testing taglines, then headlines, then I may go to testimonials, images, etc. Once I get the best of each figured out, then I will put together a great ad that is likely to attract people to click on it and buy my books.

Writing books is not easy, but it is fun. I'm trying to figure out what is happening as I write, because you never know about some characters. They may have some secrets up their sleeve that you didn't anticipate. But the goal, after finishing the book and getting it ready to sell, is selling the book! Then, hopefully, selling enough of my books, I'll be able to make a living from the books and not have to work somewhere else. Once I get to that point, I'd love to help other authors in publishing their stories and helping them to sell them with what I have learned.

So as I leave the month of April, I'm looking forward to May, where I hope to finally get these pieces put together into ad campaigns for each of my books. With 17 books out (and more on the way) I should have a good chance of selling some of them, don't you think?
