The eldest of six children, I was born and raised in Miami, FL. After graduation, I attended Miami-Dade Jr. College, then transferred to the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
After getting married and starting my family, I entertained the thought of becoming a writer. So I finished a correspondence class and tried writing children’s stories.
Many rejections later, I realized the stories that came to me were romances. My stories appear as scenes, or dialog between people. All I do is eavesdrop and take notes. I feel like I’m watching a movie.
It wasn’t until I moved to the Smoky Mountains, and joined RWA and the Smoky Mountain Romance Writers that I was able to grow as a writer. When I discovered the Futuristic, Fantasy and Paranormal Chapter of RWA, I was able to join an awesome critique group. I am also a member of Scriptscene (another RWA chapter) where I hope to see some of my stories turned into screenplays.
I have three grown children and a granddaughter. Currently, I live in the Smokies (where most of my stories were hatched) with my husband and our dog, Ellie. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, biking, photography and crafts.
